Sandro Manteiga and Joseph Yoder will both be presenting November 5th-6th, 2014 at Agile Brazil 2014. Sandro will give a talk on the topic of “Measuring the Value of Incremental Delivery of Software. Joseph Yoder will give a keynote on “Taming Big Balls of Mud with Diligence, Agile Practices, and Hard Work” and also a talk on “Pragmatic, Not Dogmatic TDD: Rethinking How We Test”.
This year was the 20th anniversary of PLoP and the GoF Design Patterns Book. Joe participated at this conference as c0-chair and local organizer, presented a bootcamp for those working on patterns. The conference was held in Allerton Park near Monticello Illinois September 14-17, 2014.
Joe came back from Japan to New York City Sept 11-12th, 2014 to give a keynote on “Sustaining Architecture” and a workshop on “So you think that your application cannot be tested? Evolving Legacy Code” for an internal Bank of America conference. This was held at the World Financial Center down by the World Trade Center in New York City.
Joe presented a TDD & Refactoring course Sept 1-5th, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan to Rakuten. He’ll also gave a talk on Taming Big Ball of Muds through Agile, Diligence and Hard work at an XP conference while there. Read more.

On August 1st, 2014 Joe gave a tech talk at ThoughtWorks concerning: QA to AQ: Shifting from Quality Assurance to Agile Quality.
Joe once again helped organize Agile Portugal 2014, as part of the Steering Committee. He attended and participated at the conference, which included hosting a Panel and Retrospective of Agile Portugal 2014. Read more
